Billing

Payment

Payment for services is the responsibility of the patient or responsible party.

Arrangements for payment may be made prior to the initial appointment. It is your responsibility to find out the amount of your deductible and co-pay. Co-pays will be collected at each visit. Please have your payment ready at the beginning of each session so we can give our full attention to therapy.

Insurance

FVSSC will bill insurance companies with some exceptions.

Coverage of speech pathology services varies widely. FVSSC may be listed as a provider, but your contract may not cover speech pathology services. It is your responsibility to determine whether benefits are available through your individual policy.

If your insurance requires prior authorization or physician referral, it is your responsibility to obtain the necessary documentation and bring it with you.

Be sure to bring your insurance card and any other pertinent information to each visit.

Medicare will not process claims or reimburse for private speech therapy. Therefore, secondary insurance also does not cover these services.

FVSSC does not bill Medicare or secondary carriers.

Specific questions about billing can be directed to the Billing Department by using the
Website Contact Form,
but please check the FAQ first to make sure your question is not answered there.
